Being human
Being human is hard. It's full of pain, melancholy, anguish and anxiety. It's also full of love, laughter, experiences and beauty. This dichotomy is what makes existence exciting. The knowledge that where there is good, there is also bad. That the positive will balance out the negative and the sun always comes out after the rain.
As human beings, many of us introspect after when we're in mourning. This mourning period doesn't necessarily mean after death but dealing with any form of loss. This is when we think about who we are, how we feel and what we could've changed.
The human condition is so hard, it baffles everyone. The greatest thinkers and scientists, from Darwin to Camus. I guess it's because it's not prescribed. People deal with situations and emotions in different ways. People are ruled by their nature and nurture traits. These exist in many different combinations. This energy is then smashed into another's completely different energy that's made up of all sorts of variables.
It's the most complicated chemistry experiment based on intangible elements.
This is why there are combinations that work, like Ant and Dec and those that don't like Katie Hopkins and people. That's why an on-screen pairing can be electric or a bit of a damp squib.
There is no such thing as a fully formed, rounded human. We're riddled with issues that are at war with our ideologies. Life a continuous path of growth, enlightenment and experience. However, who we are remains fixed throughout our lives and no matter how hard we may try to change, we can't. And this is where complexity is made even more complicated.
The only thing we can do is be open to other's opinion and understand their point of view. It's all about empathy. Trying to figure out the meaning of it all and what makes us human is pointless so let's just learn from each other.
