You say you want a revolution exhibition at V&A

I've often thought I was born in the wrong decade. I see myself much more suited to times of revolution, when the world was in the throes of cultural, social and political change. It seemed a more vibrant and exciting place. The V&A's latest exhibition just proves it.

You say you want a revolution, weeeeellllll, you know... it was such an incredible time, this exhibition made me sad that I missed it.

You're invited to wear a headset from the beginning and you're immediately transported back to the swinging decade with strums and melodies from Bob Dylan and The Beatles. You were eased in with walls covered with the seminal albums, books and art from era, providing the perfect starting block into the revolution part.

Each room took you through changes people experienced either through the feminist movement, emergence of the black panthers, rise of terrorism through Black September and Carlos the Jackal, the Vietnam war and the counter-culture is provoked. All told through the music of the time.

This all led up to a room set-up like Woodstock, where you could sit on the floor and watch a trailer of the world's most famous festival.
